Navigating Campus
The University of Denver (DU) spans 125 acres, which can be challenging to navigate — even if you don't have a disability that affects your mobility.
Campus Map
We recommend that before you head out, become familiar with where buildings are by reviewing our campus map. You'll be able to toggle on and off different categories, such as where accessible entrances are or if you'll need to take a detour around a construction site.
Shuttle
We offer free campus shuttle rides to anyone with a valid DU email from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, during our fall, winter and spring quarters. They're 12-passenger shuttles that can accommodate two wheelchairs each. You will need to sign up using a mobile app and log in for a code before you board.
Emergency Procedures
In the event that you need to evacuate a building due to an emergency, you'll need to go to a designated area of rescue.
The designated areas of rescue are in the following buildings:
- Law School
These are the south, east and west stairwells, floors 2, 3 and 4. - Ruffatto Hall
Located in both stairwells on floors 2, 3, 4 and 5. - Engineering
These are located on the north stairwell in the basement, 3, 4, 5 and the roof. On the south stairwell they are on floor 3, 4 and 5. - SIE Complex
Located toward the center of the building at the elevators in the basement and floors 2, 3, 4 and 5.
If you're in a building that doesn't have one or you're not sure where the designated area of rescue is, go to the nearest stairwell and call Campus Safety at 303-871-3000.
Report an Obstacle
We strive to make our campus accessible for all, but there may be instances in which you come across a physical barrier, such as an inoperable door, elevator problem, blocked pathway, etc.
- If you do experience an obstacle, call 303-871-7726 or submit a report online.
- For emergencies or after-hours needs, contact Campus Safety at 303-871-3000.
